Chloroquine is indicated for:

Prophylaxis and suppression of malaria

Irrespective of gender only Children (1 year - 12 years old) , Adolescents (12 years - 18 years old)

Contraindications

Active ingredient Chloroquine is contraindicated in the following cases:

Amiodarone

No gender/age discrimination

Concomitant use of chloroquine with amiodarone is contraindicated.

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency

No gender/age discrimination

Caution is advised in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, as there may be a risk of haemolysis.
