Therapeutic Indications

Beclometasone is indicated for:

Prophylactic management of mild, moderate or severe asthma

Irrespective of gender only Children (1 year - 12 years old) , Adolescents (12 years - 18 years old)

Beclometasone is indicated for the prophylactic management of mild, moderate, or severe asthma in adults or children:

Mild asthma: Patients requiring intermittent symptomatic bronchodilator asthma medication on a regular basis.

Moderate asthma: Patients with unstable or worsening asthma despite prophylactic therapy or bronchodilator alone.

Severe asthma: Patients with severe chronic asthma and those who are dependent on systemic corticosteroids for adequate control of symptoms.

Treatment 1: Respiratory (Inhalation) - 200-400 ug in two divided doses

Ulcerative colitis

Irrespective of gender only Adults (18 - 65 years old)

Beclometasone is indicated for the treatment of mild or moderate ulcerative colitis in active phase, as add-on therapy to 5-ASA containing drugs in patients who are non-responders to 5-ASA therapy in active phase.
