Therapeutic Indications

Amphotericin B is indicated for:

Mycosis in febrile neutropenia

Irrespective of gender only Children (1 year - 12 years old) , Adolescents (12 years - 18 years old) Adults (18 years old or older)

Amphotericin B is indicated in adults and children aged 1 month to 18 years old for the empirical treatment of presumed fungal infections in febrile neutropenic patients, where the fever has failed to respond to broad spectrum antibiotics and appropriate investigations have failed to define a bacterial or viral cause.

Treatment 1: Intravenous - 3 mg/kg once daily

Visceral leishmaniasis in immunosuppression

Irrespective of gender only Infants (40 days - 1 year old) , Children (1 year - 12 years old) , Adolescents (12 years - 18 years old) Adults (18 years old or older)

Amphotericin B is indicated for the treatment of visceral leishmaniasis in immunocompetent patients including both adults and children.

Severe systemic and/or deep mycoses

Amphotericin B is indicated in adults and children aged 1 month to 18 years old for the treatment of severe systemic and/or deep mycoses.
